I am a university student at The University of Melbourne who has achieved an unadjusted Australian Tertiary Admissions Rank of approximately 99.75 (44/45 International Baccalaureate (IB) points). My ~2 years of tutoring experience include teaching Year 10-12 students in IB, South Australian Certificate of Education (SACE) and Victorian Certificate of Education (VCE) Biology, Chemistry, French B, Mathematics & Psychology in person and online. I aspire to become a medical doctor, specifically a neurosurgeon. The field interests me due to its intellectually-stimulating nature that would allow for a challenging yet satisfying career, all while creating positive change in patient's lives.

I am currently studying the Bachelor of Biomedicine at Melbourne University. I graduated from IB with a score of 43/45 (99.45 ATAR). During high school my favourite subjects were HL Biology and HL English A Literature and I am passionate about teaching these subjects too!

Graduated Wesley College St Kilda Road in 2021 with distinction in IBDP 40/45 (atar 97.90), also received dux in HL Chinese Language B, as well as being on the Principal's Academic Honour Roll. I am currently studying a Bachelor's degree in Commerce at the University of Melbourne, majoring in Finance and Accounting. I have flexible teaching methods, mostly depends on the student's learning style, for which I am able to adjust and cater to different styles of teaching to different students. In my lesson, I encourage two-way communications, unlike many tutors that I have worked with in the past where the lesson comprises mostly just the tutor talking non-stop, I encourage students to speak, thinking outside the box to ask me questions regarding the content. I can also help students develop their own unique studying methos for Maths, Economics, Finance and Accounting by giving them my tips for studying these subjects as a student. I am currently a first-year Master of Art Curatorship student at UniMelb and I enjoy reading & writing about Southeast Asian art history. I have a Bachelor's Degree (with Honours) in English Literature and Art History with a minor in Modern Languages (French) from Nanyang Technological University, Singapore, where I am from. In Singapore, I held several teaching positions. I was briefly an art teacher at a studio, teaching children aged 3–14 different art techniques ranging from paper mache to still-life drawing. I was also a Specialist Creative Writing and English teacher at Write Edge, a tuition centre in Singapore. I taught a wide range of students, from Primary 1 (Year 1) to Secondary 2 (Year 8), and so I had to constantly adapt to make sure that my teaching techniques were suitable for the age group I was teaching. I hope to get my PhD after I am done with my Master's and I aim to be a university professor sometime in the future, so I find that teaching younger children has helped me gain more confidence in directing and engaging a classroom.
